A mid-eighteenth century residence in the heart of a conservation area near Huddersfield has benefited from Leyland Trade’s Truguard Smooth Masonry paint.
The Grade II listed building, which incorporates a recently constructed Georgian style kitchen and orangery, required external re-painting to the rendered walls. Leyland Truguard Smooth Masonry paint offered a practical solution with an anticipated 15-year life expectancy.
However, in order to maintain the integrity of the Georgian heritage of the original building, the choice of colour was as important as the performance of the paint. Following on site painting of a small test area, ‘Memoir’ from the off-white collection was selected, providing a soft and natural appearance to the modern extension.
